The next Aharen-san wa Hakarenai anime received an April 1 premiere date and a second trailer. The new trailer features more comedic moments from the series and the opening song “Hanarenai Kyori” from Try Sail.
Aharen-san wa Hakarenai is based on the manga published by Shueisha by Asato Mizu, which debuted in 2017 and has 12 tankoubon volumes as of August 2021. The manga is serialized on Shonen Jump Plus and published under the Jump Comics label. The romantic comedy revolves around her classmates sitting next to Reina and Raidou, the former being a small, quiet person whose poor ability to assess personal space makes her unpredictable.
The anime staff includes Yasutaka Yamamoto (nobility) as Chief Director, Tomoe Makino (Detective Woodpecker’s Office) as a director, Takao Yoshioka (Horimiya) as a screenwriter, and Yuuko Yahiro (Kaguya-sama: Love is war) as a character designer. Tomoko Iwasa (Wave!! Surf Yappe!!), Chie Mishima (Picnic elsewhere), and Yuuki Fukuchi (Picnic elsewhere) are chief animation directors.
Other staff include Baku Production’s Kenichi Kurata (Nekopara) as artistic director, Chiharu Tanaka (Nekopara) as colorist, Studio Shamrock’s Kazuya Iwai (Nekopara) as director of photography, and Satoru Kousaki (Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-) and MONACA (Maesetsu!) as music composers. FelixFilm is the animation production studio.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Inori Minase as titular Reina Aharen, takuma Terashima like Raidou, MAO like Mitsuki Ooshiro, Kana Hanazawa like Tobaru-sensei, Tetsuya Kakihara like Ishikawa, Tomori Kusonoki like Hanako Satou, and Yurie Kozaki like Miyahira-sensei.
