Cuphead DLC release date revealed in Delicious Last Course trailer

One of the surprises of this year’s Game Awards was the announcement of Cuphead: the last delicious dish DLC. It is slated for release on June 30, 2022. The trailer accompanying the news showcased this classic art style that the Cup head the game is well known for.

Many enthusiastic fans took to social media to express their excitement for the long-awaited closing chapter of the hugely popular Cup head Game. The announcement ended the constant delays the DLC constantly encountered, with the original release date set for 2019 and then postponed to 2020. But even 2020 couldn’t meet. Cup head fan expectations – until 2022.

The trailer details the gameplay and what fans can expect from this 1930s animation-style adventure. New levels and a brand new playable character called Ms. Chalice will be added, among others. Players can expect to take the Cuphead and Mugman brothers on an adventure to an as yet unexplored island named Inkwell Isle that has unforeseen issues that lie ahead. Accompanied by Mrs. Chalice and her special abilities, the brothers embark on the “last difficult quest” to aid Chief Saltbaker.

Game Developer Studio MDHR stated the following on DLC development after the Game Awards reveal:

From our designers and concept artists to animators and engineers, everyone has spent developing this game challenging it to innovate, and we’ve strived to make The Delicious Last Course a true watermark of everything. we do at Studio MDHR. There are unique individual boss phases in this game that contain more attacks and animation frames than the entire bosses of the original Cuphead.

It looks like fans are going to have a blast with this upcoming DLC, as the team has gone the extra mile to bring it to the table – I’ll stop with the puns now.
