A main trailer has been released for the Drift home animated film, offering the first glimpse of Zutomayothe theme song for “Blush” (“Kieteshimaisou desu”). The film is set to premiere in Japanese theaters and on Netflix on September 16.
Drift home is the first of three films to be produced by Studio Colorido for Netflix. The streaming platform describes the adventure show as follows:
Kosuke and Natsume, sixth graders, grew up in the same building as childhood friends. During the summer holidays, while they are playing in the building that is going to be demolished, they find themselves caught in a strange phenomenon. All they see around them is a vast sea. Will Kosuke and the others return to their world? A summer farewell journey has just begun.
The film is directed by penguin highwayit is Hiroyasu Ishidawho is also in charge of the scenario with Hayashi Mori (Cells in action! Code Black series composer) and Minaka Sakamoto (Babylon scriptwriter). Other staff include Akihiro Nagae (At a glance animation director) as a character designer, Fumi Kato (burn the witch animation director) as an assistant character designer, and Umitaro Abe (penguin highway music composer) as a music composer.
Other staff include Kunihiko Inaba (burn the witch) as artistic director, Izumi Hirose (Pokemon: Twilight Wings) as a color creator, and Kei Machida (Beautiful co-director of photography) as director of photography.
