Goat Simulator 3: Release date, trailers, gameplay and more

For a brief time, simulators were the hottest thing in gaming. There were long-running series like Farming Simulator and Train Simulator, but for some reason the genre exploded with even more. of simulation titles that tried to capitalize on the satisfaction people got from playing these games that allowed them to perform different tasks and jobs with such precision. as possible. However, as with any hit, the parodies came hard and fast. We have things like Surgeon simulator, grandma simulator, and even I am bread, where you play like bread trying to get toasted. The high point of this nonsensical physics-based simulation subgenre was the ridiculousness Goat simulator.

Originally just a joke, goat simulator was not only released as a full game, but also got several expansions and DLC packs that took your titular goat through mockery of other game tropes and genres. No one expected him to get as big as he did, and certainly no one saw him coming back for more, and yet Coffee Stain is back, not with goat simulator 2, but jump straight to Goat simulator 3. If you’re ready for the most complete and least realistic goat simulation game ever, here’s everything we know about Goat Simulator 3.

Release date

Goat Simulator 3 is set to release on all platforms on November 17.

Platforms

Goat Simulator 3 will be almost every major platform out there. You can get your goat action on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. That just leaves out Switch owners, making this a goat you can’t take with you on the go.

Trailers

No, it’s not that old dead island 2 trailer. Goat Simulator 3 pulls a quick punch right off the bat by doing an almost blow-for-blow parody of the trailer for the Dead Island sequel that released in 2014 with no release date in sight. This trailer was a highlight of the Xbox and Bethesda showcase in 2022.

After watching a man lace up, stretch and tune his music to go for a run, just like that old trailer, it’s not a pack of zombies wreaking havoc behind him, but goats rampaging through the city . They crash, fly on jetpacks, shoot lasers, explode heads and fire rockets as people flee for their lives. The man only stops after stepping into a pile of goat droppings, turning to see four goats about to pounce.

A few days later, Epic released their own trailer for goat simulator 3, this time giving us another purely cinematic look at the game.

It begins with the first-person perspective of a goat captured and transported to a farm. The farmer immediately starts harassing the goat, who can’t stand this kind of treatment and retaliates. He runs away, dodging the people, until he comes to a dock where he looks at his own reflection. Next to the goat, a giraffe and another yellow creature (a fish?) lean over.

Gameplay

Fireworks go off as a goat drives a car.

Goat Simulator 3 looks like a simply bigger version of the first game, which was itself a big sandbox of generally wacky and fun physics interactions, quests, activities and locations to explore and see what mischief you could craft into . The official description backs it up, including the playful tone, stating, “Get ready for another round of udder mayhem. Lick, headbutt, and ruin your way through an all-new open world in the biggest waste of time since. goat simulator! We won’t tell you how to play (except in the tutorial), but we’ll just give you the means to be the goats of your dreams.

A list of key features was listed on the store page, including being a goat, being a goldfish, dressing up your goat, and numerous mini-games, which may or may not actually be seven. They’ve also “hired” designers games” and we’re told they’ve added “a fair amount of content”. This includes more NPCs and physical interactions to play with.

Based on the trailer, expect the same level of nonsensical, bite-sized fun as the first. It would not be Goat Simulator 3 if the game ran smoothly, didn’t slip or felt like it was falling apart while you were playing.

Multiplayer

Three goats near a waterfall.

Yes, for the first time, despite the goat simulator MMO expansion, Goat Simulator 3 will have cooperative multiplayer for up to three friends. You can all play and explore the world together and participate in the previously mentioned mini-games, both locally and online. Coffee Stain did not specify whether the game will feature cross-play on any or all platforms. Goat Simulator 3 will be released, but hopefully we won’t be far from our friends the goats on different consoles.
