Two major players in the Australian mining industry have strengthened their relationship following the award of an expanded contract.
Gold mining company Evolution Mining, headquartered in New South Wales, has chosen Kalgoorlie-based mining company MLG Oz to service its Mungari operation in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.
The initial contract term of two years is for MLG to provide integrated transportation and site services to Evolution. A one-year extension is also planned.
This follows the strong and existing relationship between the two companies which will leverage Kalgoorlie-based MLG’s extensive resource pool and off-road transport assets.
Evolution plans to double its revenue to $15 or $18 million per year.
MLG’s scope of work builds on the recent integration of Kundana’s operations into Evolution’s Mungari portfolio, with MLG contracted to meet the combined bulk transportation and road maintenance needs of the sites as part of single service provider agreement.
