Sony’s big marketing deal with GTA 5 has prompted several PlayStation 5-specific trailers to be released, each exploring some of the next-gen enhancements to Rockstar’s long-running open-world game. The first in the series highlights near-instant charging and features a vehicle of Hao Special Workswhich is a new mod shop exclusive to next-gen versions of the game:
The second commercial focuses on visuals and promises “crisp 4K resolution” while showing a trio of muscle cars driving through Los Santos at night:
And the third clip is all about 3D audio, as it depicts a car driving through a tunnel and highlights the sounds of passing traffic:
We assume there will be more, highlighting the excellent DualSense controller support, for example. It’s interesting to see Sony market a 2013 game so hard, but we guess that’s what happens when you sell 160 million copies. It is worth remembering GTA online is currently free to download on PS5, and PSMore subscribers have been able to redeem GTA$1,000,000 each month for the past two years.
