HBO Max shares FATHER OF THE BRIDE movie trailer

HBO max has shared the new trailer for Father of the Bride. The film will be released on June 16 on HBO Max.

Long-married Billy (Andy Garcia) and Ingrid (Gloria Estefan) are surprised when their eldest daughter Sofia (Adria Arjona) returns to Miami for a visit. But the surprises keep coming when she announces a new boyfriend, Adan (Diego Boneta) – who is now her fiancé – and their plans for a quick wedding and a new life together in Mexico, where the girl is from. Adam’s family.

Sofia’s quick revelations prevent Billy and Ingrid from making their own revelation – that they are ending their marriage – but both agree to delay the news and play the couple in love for the benefit of the family.

The elder Billy is at first opposed to the marriage, but he eventually gets swayed, as long as his views as father of the bride carry the most weight in all things marriage. A leading architect and family man, Billy believes his hard-fought success and devotion to his legacy earn him the right to decide. After all his accomplishments, why is he suddenly considered the villain?

The same could also be said for Adan’s equally headstrong father, Hernan (Pedro Damián), who soon arrives with his own traditions and family pride. With the two iron-willed fathers vying to take charge of the festivities, it becomes a hubris game of one-upmanship, as cultures clash, generations take sides, and competing traditions collide. Family relationships are put to the test, with the couple at the center of it all, as the roller coaster of wedding planning heads down the aisle.
