HBO’s ‘Los Espookys’ Comedy Series Season 2 Trailer Teases More Horror Hijinks On The Way

The wait has been very long for the second season of the critically acclaimed HBO series “Los Espookys”, but that wait is finally almost over. A brand new trailer released today gives us a sneak peek at the upcoming horror hijinks along with a release date.

Created by Fred Armisen, Ana Fabrega and Julio Torres (HBO comedy special “My Favorite Shapes”), the second season of the HBO Original six-episode bilingual comedy series “Los Espookys” premieres on September 16 on HBO and HBO Max.

The series follows “a group of friends who turn their shared passion for horror into a particular business, delivering horror to customers who need it, in a dreamy Latin American land where the weird and the weird are only a part of everyday life”.

As for what to expect in season two, we’ll find “leader and gore enthusiast Renaldo (Bernardo Velasco), haunted by the ghost of a beauty pageant queen, while Úrsula (Cassandra Ciangherotti), hires an old acquaintance to challenge the political status quo. Úrsula’s well-meaning sister, Tati (Ana Fabrega), adjusts to life as a newlywed, while balancing a new gig, and Renaldo’s disturbing best friend, Andrés (Julio Torres), tries to find his place. into the world after placating his inner demons (literally). Meanwhile, Uncle Tico (Fred Armisen) searches for a new purpose after his valet career is derailed.

Season two’s returning cast also includes recurring stars Jose Pablo Minor like Juan Carlos, L. Ramirez River like Sonia, Giannina Fruttero like Beatrice, Carmen Gloria Bresky as Mayor Teresa Lobos, Eudora Peterson as Krissy and guest stars Greta Titelman as Ambassador Melanie Gibbons, Spike Einbinder as Sombra Del Agua (The Shadow of Water), and Sam Taggart like JJ. The new recurring cast includes Martine Gutierrez as Karina and guest stars Kim Petras, Isabelle Rosellini and Yalitza Apparicio.
