A rocky road awaits us. Kody Brown and his four wives – Meri, Christine, Janelle and Robyn – return for season 16 of Sister Wives, and the family seems to be heading for more drama than ever.
A new super tease released by TLC on Tuesday, October 12, shows the four brunette women quarantined separately from each other during the coronavirus pandemic as Kody, 52, walks back and forth between homes.
âWhen it comes to the COVID virus, I’m not ready to bet the life of a family member,â the Wyoming native said in a voiceover. âI am the only one going from house to house.
While Kody’s system is designed to protect his family, his wives are not happy with the situation. âI don’t know if Kody even wants to see everyone back together,â Christine, 49, said at one point. “Maybe he’ll live well apart.”
In another scene, Robyn, 43, admits that she feels like “the foundation on which our family was built is crumbling.”
Kody, for his part, is angry with Robyn for taking matters into his own hands as he feels he is the only person who should be making decisions for the Brown Clan. “It pisses me off that they look to Robyn, like, for some kind of approval,” he said. âI don’t have a head of family in this family.
The new season will follow the Browns’ move to Flagstaff, Ariz., Which hasn’t gone well for all of the wives. In the trailer, Christine once again shares that she wants to return to Utah.
“Why would I want to live on the same property with a dysfunctional marriage, when over there he has a fully functioning marriage?” »She asks during a confessional interview. “Who would ever want to live like this?” “
Earlier this year, Janelle, 52, revealed she lived in an RV on homestead in Coyote Pass, Arizona. âI acted boldly and grabbed an adventure,â she wrote via Instagram in June. âThe rental where I was living was sold and I chose an alternate route to try to find another rental. Not only is the Flagstaff housing market as crazy as you are I’m sure, but rentals are even harder to come by. Present my new summer adventure – life in a motorhome but camped on our property.
It’s not clear if the RV will be part of the new season, but in the new video Janelle joins her fellow wives in expressing her displeasure with Kody’s quarantine arrangement. “I’m on my nerves with all this bull stuff,” she said.
Janelle, who married Kody in 1993, once said Us weekly that she tries not to discuss her husband’s other relationships with him because she doesn’t want someone else’s drama to affect her own relationship.
âIt really hurts when I don’t see them well because it kind of spills over to families,â she said. We in March, when Season 15 documented Kody’s struggles with 50-year-old Meri. âWe don’t have the impression that everything is completely calm, completely whole. I always try to defend and go to bat for both. And that’s a tough thing, I think, really for the whole family. When a relationship struggles, they all fight.
Season 16 of Sister Wives premieres on TLC Sunday, Nov.21 at 10 p.m. ET.
