Lineage Logistics announces the acquisition of a cold storage facility

Temperature-controlled logistics company, Lineage Logistics, has announced its acquisition of cold storage company, Cold Storage Nelson.

Cold Storage Nelson (CSN) has made major advances in energy efficiency by using advanced process control and design to ensure minimal usage and sophisticated energy purchasing.

Lineage Logistics’ global COO Jeff Rivera said expanding its footprint in Asia-Pacific through New Zealand was a long-term strategic goal for the company.

“CSN has industry-leading skills in inventory control, compliance and traceability,” he said.

“CSN’s facilities, combined with our industry-leading technology and innovation, will help New Zealand customers manage growing supply chain demands in New Zealand and overseas.

“We look forward to working closely with CSN customers on these new opportunities.”

According to Rivera, Lineage is focused on strengthening its footprint in New Zealand and Asia Pacific so customers can leverage its end-to-end global logistics capability.

Lineage in New Zealand now has integrated assets in Auckland, Tauranga, Hawkes Bay, Nelson, Christchurch, Timaru and Dunedin.

In other news, Supply chain operator DP World Australia is looking to take its supply chain offerings to the next level through innovation and deeper integration beyond ports and terminals.
