Chris Hemsworth’s Thor ass is currently hooking the internet into a causal loop it can never escape – it’s the Thor: Love and Thunder the trailer is an indication. When the official Thor 4 trailer dropped, the internet immediately went wild over a scene in which a chained Thor gets his clothes “grazed” by Zeus (Russell Crowe), only for the magical maneuver to go too far, leaving Thor on his ass naked in chains, before all the crowds watching Olympus. Onlookers fainted from the heat overload, and apparently a lot of people in real life too. Then they woke up and rewound. Several times.
The photo above from Marvel YouTube clearly shows the spike in viewer replays when we get to the sequence where Chris Hemsworth’s Thor stands in the buff. That certainly makes sense, as it’s not hard to imagine Marvel fans stopping for a ‘thorough’ search of the scene – we imagine the blurry image of Hemsworth standing naked was skimmed through. pretty much any buffers and/or filters that could possibly remove those pesky pixels.
Director Taika Waititi and Marvel Studios certainly know, by now, what helps fill the seats for these Thor movies. Much of it (since Kenneth Branaugh’s first Thor movie) shows the well-sculpted man meat that is Chris Hemsworth in those movies. Hemsworth certainly deserves to show it everything off, this time: the actor has been working hard on his physique for years, since Thor: Love and Thunder ended up experiencing significant delays during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hemsworth showed fans what “dedication” is, when he continued to train and shared videos of the intense process on social media.
Hemsworth continued to process lemon from Thor 4and his prolonged physical training in a lucrative lemonade business. Hemsworth and his training team launched “Centr Power program“, a virtual fitness program that brings Hemsworth’s superhero workouts home to his legions of fans and admirers:
“I’ve had a lot of questions about my preparation and training for Thor over the years. This time around I was lucky enough to have a solid time at home to try out a host of nutritional methods and… training, to build the strongest version of me and the character yet,” Hemsworth posted. From there, I decided to design a fully guided program on how I achieved these results. Eat, train, sleep, repeat! With our Centr Power program.”
Thor: Love and Thunder will be in theaters on July 8, 2022.
