Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume no Tojimari Releases New Trailer

Makoto Shinkai’s next major feature is now gearing up for its theatrical release in Japan later this year, and fans got a full preview of what to expect with a stunning new trailer released for Suzume no Tojimari! This new feature is going to be the first new film from the famous creator and his team in three long years, and fans have been curious what to expect after previous films such as Your Name and Weathering With You have passed. to the massive desktop success box of their own. Now, fans have received another major clue as to what we’ll actually see in action in the new movie.

While the first trailer for Suzume no Tojimari gave fans clues about the new main character, the titular Suzume, and her mysterious powers, the new trailer (with English subtitles) gives us our first full look. not only from the film’s mysterious story, but its story as well as a mysterious character seem to set off this dark and magical journey for the new film. This is also the first audio from the lead heroine actress, Nanoka Hara, so you can check it all out for yourself below:

Suzume no Tojimari will hit theaters across Japan on November 11, and Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment have licensed the film for international release early next year. Makoto Shinkai is credited with the direction, story, and screenplay of Toho and CoMix Wave Films. Masayoshi Tanaka is providing character design, Kenichi Tsuchiya is animation director, and Takumi Tanji will serve as art director. The film is officially described as such:

“Across the door was time in its entirety – 17-year-old Suzume’s journey begins in a quiet Kyushu town when she meets a young man who says to her, ‘I’m looking for a door “. Suzume discovers that a single weathered door is standing amidst the ruins as if safe from the disaster that has struck. Seemingly hypnotized by its power, Suzume grabs the handle… The doors begin to open. opening one after another all over Japan, unleashing destruction on Suzume must close these portals to prevent another disaster.
