Marvel’s Eternals release date, review, cast, trailer, tickets, and more

Eternals, the next Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero film, is set to hit theaters in India and around the world this week. The film is based on the Marvel superhero comic book series of the same name and is the 26th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe under its Phase Four. The film is directed by Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao and has an ensemble cast including Gemma Chan, Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden and Kit Harington. Filming for the film took place at Pinewood Studios in England as well as on location in London and Oxford in England and the Canary Islands.

Eternals Director Zhao had said earlier that it would take more than two and a half hours. The official run time of Eternals is 2 hours and 36 minutes long, making it the second longest Marvel movie, just behind Avengers: Endgame which was 3 hours and 2 minutes long.

The characters in Eternals are all new characters to the MCU, making this a standalone movie from the rest of the MCU. Eternals will be published in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam in India.

Release date of the Eternals

Eternals will be released in India on November 5. The film was scheduled to be released for the first time in late October, before its release in the United States. The date was then pushed back to the current release date, a day after Diwali.

The film will be released on November 3 in countries like Germany, France, South Korea and Indonesia, among others. Eternals hits theaters on November 4 in countries including the United Arab Emirates, Singapore and Thailand. The US, UK, and Japan are some of the other countries other than India that will see Eternals‘release on November 5.

Ticket reservations for the Eternals

Eternals tickets have been online in India since the last weekend of October in India. Tickets can be pre-booked on the official websites of PVR, INOX, Cinépolis, Carnival Cinemas and SPI Cinemas, and on platforms such as BookMyShow and Paytm. The film will be released in 2D, 4DX, 3D, 4DX 3D, IMAX 3D, IMAX 2D formats. The cast of the Eternals

The main cast includes Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Kit Harington, Don Lee, Lia McHugh, Kumail Nanjiani, Harish Patel, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff and Barry Keoghan.

Chan tries out the role of Sersi, an eternal empath who has a strong connection to Earth and humans. She can handle inanimate matter and pretends to be a museum curator on Earth while dating Dane Whitman, played by Kit Harington. In an interview with Variety, Eternals Producer Kevin Feige said of Chan’s casting: “… and if there was one track in this set, it’s Sersi, it’s Gemma Chan – we watched and read all kinds of women for that part. . And ended up really believing that Gemma was the best at it. And luckily, she proved to be the case in the final film.

Madden plays Ikaris, an Eternal Mighty One who can fly. He also has the power to project beams of energy from his eyes. Its other strengths include super strength and teleportation. With Ikaris is Sersi, whose relationship Madden describes as “a love story through the ages.”

Angelina Jolie portrays Thena, another Eternal who can form any weapon from cosmic energy.

Henry plays the role of Phastos, an Eternal who is a clever inventor of weapons. Phastos is the MCU’s first gay superhero. Ridloff plays Makkari, an Eternal who possesses the power of super-speed and is the first deaf actor to take on the role of a Marvel superhero. Director, screenwriters, producers of Eternals

Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao dons the director’s cap for Eternals. Speaking about the film, Zhao said, “I would say that I pay tribute to many films and filmmakers who had a great influence on me in this film. It becomes fanfare for me. I try to let them inspire me in different parts of the movie because the movie is so diverse, visually, I could do a lot of different things.

Zhao revealed that she, along with the visual effects team, the action team, and the design team, have watched films such as Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life (2011) and The New World (2005). ), Revenant by Alejandro González Iñárritu (2015), Interstellar by Christopher Nolan (2014) and 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Stanley Kubrick, among others.

The story of Eternals was developed and the first draft of the script was written by Ryan Firpo and Matthew K. Firpo. The screenplay was then rewritten by Zhao and Patrick Burleigh, who wrote screenplays for films such as Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway (2021) and Ant-Man and The Wasp (2018). The final version of the screenplay was written by Zhao herself.

Eternals is produced by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Marvel Director Nate Moore.

German music composer Ramin Djawadi who composed the score for films including Iron Man (2008) and Clash of The Titans (2010) composed the score for the film. Two tracks from Djawadi’s score for the film titled “Eternaks Theme” and “Across Oceans of Time” have been shared on the Marvel Music VEVO channel on YouTube.

Eternals 2?

Eternals director Zhao said that Eternals has two post-credits scenes – one mid-credits scene and the other a post-credits scene. Speaking of the two post-credit scenes, Zhao said, “They’re just as big in weight, and both have big surprises for you.” It is possible that the post-credit scenes create potential Eternals 2, in keeping with the rest of Marvel’s post-credit scenes.
