Miles Teller’s Al Ruddy Has Trouble With Sinatra In ‘The Offer’ Debut Trailer (Video)

Paramount+ unveiled the trailer for its original limited event series “The Offer” by executive producer and showrunner Nikki Toscano during streamer Television Critics Association (TCA) virtual presentation on Tuesday.

“When I say I’m going to handle something, I’m going to handle it.” Miles Teller speaks tough as producer Albert S. Ruddy in behind-the-scenes teaser of the making of ‘The Godfather,’ despite crowd opposition over his portrayal of Italian Americans and the word that Frank Sinatra wants to close the picture down.

The trailer also shows Matthew Goode nailing legendary Paramount producer Robert Evans’ colorful way of speaking. And he gets all the best lines, as he tells Ruddy, “You wanna be a producer? Beg, borrow, steal, do whatever it takes” and “You have brains and balls. Try to use both.

“The Offer” will premiere Thursday, April 28, exclusively for Paramount+ subscribers in the United States. The first three episodes of the 10-episode series will be available to stream at launch. After the premiere, the remaining seven episodes will air weekly on Thursdays.

“The Offer” also stars Juno Temple as Bettye McCartt, Giovanni Ribisi as Joe Colombo, Dan Fogler as Francis Ford Coppola, Burn Gorman as Charles Bluhdorn, Colin Hanks as Barry Lapidus, and Patrick Gallo as Mario Puzo.

The series is created and written by writer Michael Tolkin (“Escape at Dannemora”, “The Player”) and also written and produced by Nikki Toscano (“Hunters”), who serves as showrunner. Along with Tolkin and Toscano, two-time Oscar winner Albert S. Ruddy (“Million Dollar Baby,” “The Longest Yard,” “Hogan’s Heroes”), Miles Teller, Russell Rothberg, and Leslie Greif, who also developed the series, serve as executive producers alongside Dexter Fletcher (“Rocketman”), who also directed the series’ first block.

“The Deal” will also stream exclusively to Paramount+ subscribers in Canada, Latin America, the Nordics and Australia.
