Netflix unveils new trailer for ‘Vikings: Valhalla’

With its release date looming, Netflix has now released a full trailer setting up the show’s major conflict for Vikings: Walhalla.

Featured above, the new trailer follows legendary Viking explorer Leif Eriksson in the early 11th century as he confronts the looming threat of English royalty in the north. Within the Vikings themselves, conflicts also arise due to differences between Christian and pagan beliefs, and Eriksson will sail across oceans and battlefields alongside his sister Freydis Eriksdotter and Norse prince Harald Sigurdsson.

Eriksson will be played by Sam Corlett, with Frida Gustavsson as Eriksdotter and Leo Suter as Sigurdsson. Other cast members include Bradley Freegard, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, David Oakes, Laura Berlin, and Caroline Henderson. Jeb Stuart will serve as both showrunner and executive producer along with Morgan O’Sullivan, Michael Hirst, Sheila Hockin, Steve Stark, James Flynn, John Weber, Sherry Marsh and Alan Gasmer.

For those interested, Vikings: Walhalla will arrive on Netflix on February 25.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Disney+ has launched a second season of star wars andor.
