New Batmobile looks meaner than ever in latest Batman trailer

Warner Brothers recently shared a new trailer for The batman, and you don’t just drop a Batman video without showing the Batmobile. This trailer focuses more on character relationships compared to previous previews, but don’t worry about car fanatics. We still have some delicious Batmobile action, and there’s even a little Corvette love in there.

The teaser opens with the Batmobile, and we mean du very start. The foreground is the rear of the Batmobile illuminated by the afterburner, followed quickly by a grainy side view of the car in darkness. It’s definitely a good way to grab viewers’ attention and then we get some action on the streets. A lot of that is footage we’ve seen before – sneaking through traffic, jumping through flames, crashing into stuff, you know the drill. It’s a reminder that this reboot of the Batman franchise feels tougher than the previous films, and that really does mean something, all things considered.

The bad news here is that all the Batmobile action is relegated to around the first 30 seconds of the trailer. In fact, almost all of the vehicle’s contents are stuck at the start of the video, but that includes a quick glance at Bruce Wayne closing the door of a gorgeous black Chevrolet Corvette C2. It looks like this iteration of the iconic character has a soft spot for 1960s American iron, given the undeniable classic muscle car vibe of the Batmobile.

The rest of the trailer gives Batman fans a taste of the relationships in the new movie. Robert Pattinson will play the role of the Dark Knight, joined by Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman and Andy Serkis as Alfred, among others. The next evolution of the Batman franchise has been a long time coming, but it is finally set to hit theaters on March 4, 2022.
