There’s something so special about owning a dog from puppy to senior and watching it age gracefully.

An additional special OAP is Hime the Husky, who has touched the hearts of people online.

Owner David Nagadhana, 32, shared a video of Hime riding in her bike trailer on Reddit, with the caption: “When she was young she used to pull my bike all the way back. It’s time to reciprocate.”

The 13-year-old has arthritis and has “slowed down in her old age” so she can’t pull her bike like she used to.

David regularly shares videos with Hime on his Reddit page where you can spot her in the trailer with a little red flag.

Another dog making people smile this week is Busia, the therapy animal.

She was once a homeless dog with no family to belong to – but now has a whole army dotted around her.

The former stray animal was found on the streets of Lviv in Ukraine by the world animal welfare organization FOUR PAWS.

As part of their Animal-Assisted Intervention (AAI) project, the rescue team trained her to be a therapy dog - and she passed all of her tests with flying colors.

Today, Busia provides emotional support and prevention of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to injured soldiers at Vinnytsia Hospital in central Ukraine.

Practical psychologist Viktoriia Habryk said: “She can bring a person out of such a state by licking her hands or touching them with her paw, which invites them to interact.
