Paramount+’s New Halo Trailer Arrives This Sunday

Paramount+’s New Halo Trailer Arrives This Sunday

Disney isn’t the only major studio using football to plug its next slate. This Sunday, Jan. 30, the AFC Championship Game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs will include special treatment for anyone staying at halftime. During the hiatus, Paramount+ will debut the new trailer for its upcoming Halo series. Check out the announcement below.

Halo fans got their first look at the upcoming TV adaptation last month, and the response seemed to be generally positive, especially when it came to Master Chief’s design. Overall, it doesn’t look like the producers made any significant changes to the classic Chief’s armor. And the same can be said for the Spartan soldiers who will fight alongside him on the battlefield. Viewers also got to see a few recognizable vehicles from the original video games, including Warthogs and a Pelican dropship.

Last month’s preview notably highlighted several new characters created specifically for the series. However, it’s a safe bet that Sunday’s trailer will give us new insights into other Halo mainstays like Captain Keyes and Cortana. We might even hear Master Chief speak, though it’s definitely going to be weird to hear anyone other than Steve Downes provide his voice. But more importantly, Paramount+ will likely announce the official release date for the series.

The AFC Championship Game airs this Sunday, January 30 at 12:05 a.m. PT / 3:05 p.m. ET. Halo will premiere on Paramount+ later this year.
