Layers of Fears Trailers

The only trailer for Layers of fears so far has come to Summer Game Fest 2022, confirming the title after some rumors that it was coming. The trailer featured a bunch of different scenes that may or may not be familiar to players of the first two games in the series.

It begins with a few paint plans (an important motif in the Layers of fear franchise) before they are suddenly set on fire, and it cuts to a long, dark hallway that the camera moves slowly through. Much of the imagery is deeply psychological, and the trailer’s narrator states “it’s a story of fear, pain, and hate, and the horror of my loneliness.” It doesn’t explicitly reveal in the trailer that it’s a remake of previous games with new content, but fans of previous games may recognize some scenes and environments.
