RoboCop Rogue City gets a release window and gameplay trailer

Nacon and Teyond released the first gameplay trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City and it seems fans loved everything they saw in the video.

RoboCop: Rogue City is set to launch in June 2023, meaning the game was about a year away from the gameplay trailer debut. While the release window is undoubtedly one of the biggest highlights, the video showed a lot of things for fans to love.

Most importantly, RoboCop has been faithfully recreated to resemble that of the 80s classic as closely as possible. From the chrome armor to the stowable leg holster to the iconic Auto-9, this game looks just like to a love letter to the film that created the cultural phenomenon in the first place.

If that wasn’t enough, Peter Weller does the voiceover for RoboCop, reprising what is probably his most successful role, 36 years later. The end of the trailer shows RoboCop unmasked, revealing that Weller has also lent his likeness to the iconic character once again.

Interestingly enough, RoboCop: Rogue City was not announced for PS4 and Xbox One but it was for Nintendo Switch. Those looking to play the game on Microsoft or Sony consoles will apparently have to opt for the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S, even though their previous generation surpasses the Switch when it comes to hardware specs.

On PC, the game is coming via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
