Scorn trailer

Scorn is a first-person survival horror shooter where you must explore a mysterious planet while gearing up to fend off the nightmares that roam the corridors of flesh and steel. Developer Reflux software left the story and characters ambiguous by design and there’s not a lot of information about what’s going on, so you can feel ‘immersed’ in the experience. For what it’s worth, with the body horror concepts and overall vibe, this gaming experience is fitting, given that it can make players feel anxious or unease, as games should. horror but so often don’t.

The gameplay presented here shows additional improvements on the graphics, which were already fantastic, as well as on the enemy designs, the combat animations and the interaction with the environment, including the possible puzzles. Grandiose new enemies make an appearance in this trailer, raising the stakes and increasing the horror angle with their grotesque and terrifying designs. Doors twist and convulse as they open, and to wake up in-game the player character must violently rip an umbilical cord-like object from their torso to wake up. Obtaining buffs and bonuses is violent but effective, grafting itself directly onto the player’s flesh like a dark transhumanist vision of a dark and unknown future.
