Today, Atlus released another of its traditional daily trailers for its upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2, showing off one of the game’s locations.
This time we return to the in-game convenience store “Breaking Mart”, which is an obvious parody of the famous Familymart chain that you’ll find on almost every block in most areas of Tokyo. Ringo comments on an “unagi burger” and if you’re wondering “unagi” means “eel” in Japanese.
As usual, the trailer also includes the daily horoscope, which puts Scorpio at the top of the fortune chart and Libra at the bottom.
Soul Hackers 2 will be released for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam and Windows Store) on August 26, just one day after the Japanese launch on August 25.
You can check out the original trailer, lots of screenshots, a second gallery, more images, even more screenshots, a video explaining the gameplay, and another.
Previous daily trailers include one on Flauros, another on Genbu, one revealing Unicorn, one showing Moh Shuvuu, one introducing Setanta, and one revealing Byakko.
Here’s how Atlus officially describes the game:
“Soul Hackers 2 inherits the essence of Devil Summoner: Soul Hacker, while evolving the concept of the game with a more defined art style, addictive RPG gameplay, and next-level storytelling from ATLUS. Set in the universe Shin Megami Tensei, Soul Hackers 2 follows an all-new story about two Aion agents, Ringo and Figure, and their fight to stop the destruction of the world.
Produced and directed by Eiji Ishida and Mitsuru Hirata, other featured personnel include music composed by MONACA, character designs by Shirow Miwa and production manager Shinjiro Takata.
