Sweet Magnolias Season 2: Trailers, Release Date, Cast and Everything You Need to Know

sweet magnolias is coming back in just a few weeks, and we can barely stand the excitement. It’s been too long since we’ve had a margarita night with our favorite trio and heard from their families shattered by tragedy. Who knew a small town in South Carolina could be home to so much excitement? Fortunately, we only have to wait until February 4 to return to Serenity.

The season 1 finale of sweet magnolias had high emotions on prom night, and it escalated into a car accident where a number of the show’s children could be injured. The season cut to the end credits with Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Helen (Heather Headley) and Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott) holding each other as paramedics pull out whoever was driving Tyler’s (Carson Rowland) flipped car. Season 2 should reveal not just who was driving, but who else was in the car and potentially badly injured, or worse, dead.

Netflix teases that who was in the car is just one of the “many surprises” that will come out of the prom night, and the reveal of what happened at that epic dance and then “will reshape relationships throughout the city”. The rest of the official Season 2 description warns fans of another emotional roller coaster ride: “Friendships flounder. Old loves end and new loves begin. But in laughter and loss, the Sweet Magnolias continue to fight for what’s right for them and the people they love, even when those efforts come at a high price.
