Thai trailer manufacturer Panus will supply 3,000 intermodal container chassis to new company Panus USA, marking its entry into the US market.

In March, Panus has delivered 150 container chassis so far. Another 7,000 trailers are expected to be delivered in 2023 and another 12,000 in 2024.

“The container chassis market in the United States is quite large – over 800,000 units operating to serve ocean carriers, railroads, truckers and leasing companies. Demand exceeds supply and additional and replacement equipment is needed,” Panus USA Director Ayman Awad said in a press release.

Panus has developed and manufactured a new line of trailers for North America to meet growing market demand for chassis and has patents pending on their twist lock system and loading process which allows Panus to file ship frames in any port or inland location in the United States loaded into 40ft high cube containers.
