‘The Princess Switch 3′ Trailer Teases Vanessa Hudgens’ Return, Heist

Christmas is coming! Vanessa Hudgens pulls a triple duty at first sight on The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star – but this time his characters are all on one team.

The 32-year-old actress reprizes her roles as Queen Margaret, Princess Stacy and cousin Fiona in the new Netflix movie. Now the ladies must join forces and face a royal heist of disastrous proportions.

Thursday, October 21, the streaming site has released its official trailer for the rom-com holiday, promising even more shenanigans than 2018 The Princess Switch and The Princess Switch 2 of 2020: switched again combined.

The teaser kicks off with Margaret announcing an international Christmas festival that will take place in Montenaro. With his love, Kevin (Nick sagar), on one side and Stacy and Prince Edward (Sam Palladio) on the other, Margaret receives a special gift, the Peace Star, from a visitor to the Vatican.

However, disaster strikes when someone steals the precious possession from the palace. As police run into a roadblock in the investigation, Margaret calls on her criminal cousin Fiona to resolve the issue – although she disagrees in the franchise’s second film.

“The good news has arrived. Meow! ”Fiona said as she entered the palace, catching Edward off guard.

Fiona then calls her former partner and lover, Peter Maxwell (Remy Hii), to help the ladies’ trio create a plan of attack.

“One mistake and the star is gone forever,” Peter told the group, before offering to retrieve the Peace Star.

The game plan features the three ladies switching roles and posing as each other – with blonde wigs, of course. The reshuffle takes Kevin by surprise as he returns to the Palace in one scene. Edward, on the other hand, appears to be on board, saying, “Well, here we go again.”

As the teaser continues, fans see a possible spark between Fiona and Peter as Margaret and Stacy prepare for the change (and heist) in their lives.

Ahead of the release of the first trailer, Palladio, 34, teased what viewers might see in the franchise’s third installment.

“I think these movies are about family, love and friendship, and I think it’s clear [next] step would be something like [babies],” the Nashville exclusively said alum Us weekly in November 2020. “I think there are definitely elements of that that could be really fun, but after reading a few early drafts and stuff, there are some very unexpected twists as well.”

The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star premieres on Netflix on November 18.
