The trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder dropped on Monday. Fans were thrilled to finally be able to experience the long-awaited fourth Thor movie! There are a lot of little details in the trailer that made fans even more excited.
We might have expected more from director Taika Waititi’s sequel to Thor: Ragnarok. Thor’s classic costume from the comics brings it back to design by artist Jack Kirby. This was for the 1960s character. This classic costume’s appearance is brief in the trailer. Fans freaked out to see it! Many of them have taken to social media to talk about it.
Thor: Love and Thunder Trailer
At the beginning of the trailer, there is a sequence in which we can see Thor as a young man. He runs through what looks a bit like a park with grass and trees. And you know what? Guess the actor! I completely freaked out when I learned that the younger version of Thor was Chris Hemsworth’s son! During his run, the character goes through different ages and costumes. One of these costumes is a classic comic book Thor look.
It ends with a winged helmet, a red cape, chest epaulettes, and a blue-black color scheme. And even yellow strappy boots and a gold belt with it! The moment is brief, but it looks like it was taken straight from the pages of the comics.
Thor: Love and Thunder, Thor is on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced. It’s a quest for inner peace but his retreat is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale). Who seeks the extinction of the gods. Thor persuades the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). She wields her magic hammer inexplicably! Together they embark on a brutal cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of God Butcher’s revenge. And stop it before it’s too late.
The trailer also shows a look of Valkyrie as King of Asgar. And there’s a glimpse of Russell Crowe’s Zeus. Of course, we can also see Natalie Portman back as Mjolnir-wielding Jane Foster. No surprise on who is in front and behind. Yes! Chris Hemsworth is back as the god of thunder, Thor. Joining him is the newly installed Emperor of New Asgard, Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson).
