The trailer for the long-awaited film by actor Dulquer Salmaan Greet was unveiled on Tuesday, March 8. The makers also surprised the fans by announcing the release date of the film as well. Greet will be released on the Sony LIV OTT platform on March 18.
The trailer features Dulquer Salmaan as a cop trying to follow the criminal trail of a murder case. Dulquer’s character rushes to solve the case, which they call the Martin-Sheeba case in the trailer, and is behind the criminal the entire time. The trailer of Greet hints at intense police procedural drama. Directed by filmmaker Rosshan Andrews, the film stars actress Diana Penty opposite. Funded by Dulquer’s house banner film Wayfarer, popular screenwriting duo Bobby-Sanjay were hired for the project. The supporting cast includes actors Manoj K Jayan, Lakshmi Gopalaswami, Sania Iyyappan, Alancier, Binu Pappu, Vijayakumar, and Saikumar, among others.
Dulquer was recently seen in Kurup, which follows the life of Kerala’s most wanted criminal, Sukumara Kurup. The film is written by KS Aravind, Jithin K Jose and Daniel Sayooj Nair and directed by Srinath Rajendran.
He also collaborated for the first time with his father Mammootty by financing the latter’s next film. Puzhu, which also features Parvathy Thiruvothu in the lead. Meanwhile, Diana Penty is known for her roles in Hindi movies like Cocktail and Happy Bag Jayegi.
Dulquer was also seen recently in the romantic drama Hey! Sinamika, with actors Kajal Aggarwal and Aditi Rao Hydari. In the film, Duqluer and Aditi Rao Hydari, who are married, struggle to navigate the relationship. The film is directed by dance choreographer Brindha and marks her directorial debut. The title of the film is inspired by the song ‘Aye Sinamika’ which was set to music by composer AR Rahman in the direction of Maniratnam Oh Kadal Kanmania romantic drama with Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead.
