Welcome to Wrexham has unveiled its new trailer, teasing a glimpse into Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s adventure in the world of football. The Reynolds and McElhenney-produced docuseries follows the duo’s journey to lead the world’s third-oldest professional football club, Wrexham AFC.
“From Hollywood to Wales, pitch to locker room, front office to pub, Welcome to Wrexham will take Rob and Ryan’s crash course in football club ownership and the inextricably linked destinies of a team and ‘a city relying on two actors to bring serious hope and change to a community that could use it,’ reads the official synopsis for the series.
The trailer shows the couple learning more about their new surroundings as they get to know their fans, examine the facilities and attend their first football game. The pair became owners of Wrexham AFC in 2020, in which the team finished second place 21/22 in the National League.
Reynolds also took to his social media to share the trailer with his followers, captioning, “No pressure.” McElhenney also shared on his social, saying, “I fell in love with a sport, a city and a movie star. I couldn’t help it.
