Mad Max: Fury Road director george miller is back with an epic new movie he directed and titled Three thousand years of nostalgia. It’s so great to see that Miller has made another film, and it looks like it’s going to be a very wild and adventurous cinematic experience. I totally dig what I see! Looks like Miller had a lot of fun with this movie and I’m totally in for it!
movie stars Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton, and it’s an epic fantasy romance movie that revolves around a genius. The film is based on the short story “The Djinn in the Eye of the Nightingale” by AS Byattand here is the synopsis:
Dr. Alithea Binnie (Tilda Swinton) is an academic – content with life and a creature of reason. While attending a conference in Istanbul, she meets a Djinn (Idris Elba) who offers her three wishes in exchange for her freedom.
This poses two problems. First, she doubts he’s real and second, because she’s a specialist in history and mythology, she knows all the cautionary tales of wishes gone wrong. The Djinn pleads his case by telling him fantastic stories from his past. Eventually, she is seduced and makes a wish that surprises them both.
While many of us are fans of Miller’s madmax movies, Miller called it his anti-Mad Max movie explaining, “One thing I can tell you; it’s not [another Fury Road]. It’s a very strongly visual movie, but it’s almost the opposite of Fury Road. It’s almost all indoors and there’s a lot of conversation in it. There are action scenes, but they’re in passing and I guess you could say it’s anti-Mad Max.
Three thousand years of nostalgia will be released in theaters on August 31, 2022.
